Data Science Awards
The goal of Data Science Awards (DSA) is to expand the range of services available to biomedical and health researchers within the Alaska INBRE 5 network. These awards support Data Science Core (DSC) activities and fall into three categories:
- Data science services by DSC staff: Analysis of researcher-generated or acquired public health data as well as data generated by the Alaska INBRE Research Analytics Core (RAC) three supported laboratories.
- Data science services provided outside of the AK INBRE 5 network: Funding for services not available within the Alaska INBRE network. Examples include, but are not limited to, biostatistical consulting.
- Training independent of the DSC: Support for external training workshops, conferences, or short courses.
Funds may be requested for items including data analysis, data management and sharing, and training. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the Data Science Core Director in advance to discuss the proposed project and determine the most appropriate funding category.
