Professional Development Funding Opportunity

Purpose
Alaska INBRE Student Professional Development Awards are designed to provide an opportunity to present research, engage with preceptors, and/or obtain technical training in science related to the specific aims of the Alaska INBRE Program. Funding may be requested for undergraduate students to participate in virtual or in-person conferences, workshops, or training programs that provide students with the opportunity to present their research, interact with other scientists, and/or learn new techniques.
Eligibility
An eligible applicant must:

be an undergraduate student enrolled at a UA campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA OR an undergraduate student working at SCF or ANTHC with a minimum GPA of 2.5 OR a dual-enrolled student in Alaska.

be presenting a poster or oral presentation at a professional meeting in the field of study or receiving technical training.

have submitted an INBRE travel report for any previous INBRE-sponsored travel.
Award Amount
$2,500 is the maximum total award within a 12-month cycle (August 1-July 31). A single award OR multiple awards may total $2,500.
