Alaska INBRE Travel and Training Opportunity

Alaska INBRE supports travel and training opportunities that help students and researchers expand their knowledge, build collaborations, and share their research. Below are the links to the current funding opportunity announcement and application form. 

 

Application Due Dates  

Alaska INBRE accepts applications for travel support throughout the year. Review deadlines are the 15th of January, March, May, July, September, and November.

Eligibility

Student Professional Development awards support travel for undergraduate students to present their research at local, national or international conferences, and attend workshops or other technical training events. Activities may be in-person or virtual but must directly contribute to the student’s scientific development or connect to the INBRE One Health theme.

 

An eligible applicant must:

  • Be an undergraduate degree-seeking student in Alaska currently affiliated with one of the 6 Alaska INBRE partner institutions with a minimum 2.5 GPA and presenting research conducted at one of the AK INBRE 6 partner institutions.
  • Present a poster or talk at a professional meeting in the field of study or receive specific technical training.
  • Have submitted an INBRE travel report for any previous INBRE-sponsored travel
