Summer Proposal Awards for Research Karats (SPARK)

The Alaska INBRE Developmental Research Project Program aims to support network researchers toward independent research funding. To fulfill this objective, we are seeking applications from researchers who will write proposals for specific NIH R-series and K-series opportunities for submission to NIH in September or October 2026. AK INBRE will provide up to 1 month of summer salary (Phase 1) for researchers to write R- or K-series applications to the following targets:

• R-series targets: R01, R15, R16, R21, R35 (early stage)
• K-series targets: K01, K99/R00
