External Advisory Committee (EAC)
Providing Independent Oversight
The EAC consists of three to five external experts in biomedical research, administration, and mentoring. Members are appointed by the PI(s), and the Chair is selected in consultation with the Steering Committee
Key Responsibilities
- Review the performance of all program components
- Advise the PI(s) on scientific and strategic decisions
- Submit annual written evaluations and recommendations to the Steering Committee
The EAC plays a critical role in maintaining program quality and alignment with NIH expectations.
